Team of healthcare professionals
Doctor van den Top is in name your doctor. This means you can give her name to the hospital or healthcare organisation when asked for. However it is possible that you will be seen by a different general practitioner or healthcare professional here since we work in a team with multiple (disciplines of) healthcare professionals. The assistants will try to maintain continuity by trying to give you appointments by the same doctor. You can see an overview of our team here: Medewerkers.
Role of the assistants
All of our assistants have been trained to determine the level of urgency and to help patients to get the care they need at the right time. They will ask you questions about your condition because of this. They are, just like your doctors, bound by a duty of professional confidentiality. The assistants also have their own consultation hours in which they perform smaller medical acts such as removing stitches, measuring bloodpressure or making an ECG.
MGn digital healthcare
We work with MGn: home.mijngezondheid.net. This is a digital environment which patients can use at a time that is convenient (24/7). You can easily ask your healthcare professionals questions, ask for the renewal of prescriptions or view their lab results.
To create an account go to: mijngezondheid.net/mgn-mobiel/login/indexMobiel?lang=EN. You need to have a DigiD account first.
Unsure about whether or not you need an appointment?
Fill in your symptoms at the website: moetiknaardedokter.nl/en. This english page is anonymous and wont ask you for personal information. At the top right corner of the website you are also able to choose from many different languages such as Arabic, Turkish, Russian and more.
You can also look for advice about your symptoms at gpinfo.nl. This website is commonly used by general practitioners in their consultations to refer patients to. It gives you advice about the more common healthcare conditions.
Unable to do the consultation in Dutch or English?
Make sure there is someone ready to translate in Dutch or English for the patient whenever they want contact with one of our healthcare professionals. This can be a friend, a family member or someone from a healthcare organisation that the patient is involved with who speaks the same language. This is important in order to be able to deliver the best healthcare we can.
